Opening day at the Steamboat Ski Area was something special in 2010. More snow than most people could remember and blue skies to boot. Albeit cold, very cold, but that also kept many people from venturing out to take advantage of the powder. Actually this was day 2 for the day before was scholarship day and everyone had to buy a $30 lift ticket. But all proceeds went to the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club to assist athletes in making their dreams. The SSWSC is a pretty amazing club that has sent more athletes to the winter Olympics that any other program.

Next time I’ll raise the camera up a bit. Watch out for the trees . . .
