MarchFourth Marching Band

As summer draws to a close in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, we welcome the MarchFourth Marching Band (M4 to its fans) to town to bring in the final performance of the 2012 Steamboat Springs Free Summer Concert Series.

According to M4’s website, what began as a Fat Tuesday party eight years ago in Portland, Oregon has become one of the nation’s best live touring acts.  A far cry from your typical marching band, M4 tours with an 8 piece horn section and 5 drummers, as well as funky bass, guitar and 5 dancers/stiltwalkers and puts on an energy-infused show filled with an eclectic blend of music drawing influence from New Orleans, Africa, Brazil and other world music genres.

The show starts tonight at 5:00 p.m at Howelsen Hill in downtown Steamboat Springs, Colorado.  If you go, please remember that you can’t bring Fido with you.  Also, no food or beverages are allowed inside the venue, however many delicious food and drink options are available for purchase once you get inside.

Please join the MarchFourth Marching Band in saying goodbye to summer in Steamboat Springs tonight.  It’s an all ages show and guaranteed to be a good time!
