Today, August 26th the USA Pro Cycling Challenge rolls into town. All last night the convoy of support vehicles rolled into Steamboat Springs to prepare. And prepare they are. Early this morning walking down main street, or Lincoln Avenue here in Steamboat, there’s a real buzz going about. This town is being transformed from Ski Town USA to Bike Town USA over night. There are expected to be upwards of 30,000 people in town. Wow – that a lot of people for Steamboat Springs.
