The real estate market in Routt county started 2019 with the same trend as the end of 2018. We are seeing fewer sales, but on average, higher prices. Total dollar volume for January was $46.43M compared to $55.38M last year. Total transactions were 81, down from 92 last January.

Some highlights (note that we are early in the year and there was a sale of a high end property with acreage that can skew the numbers):
Average Residential price is $710,330 – up from the 2018 average of $686,781
Average Residential price per square foot $374 up from $350 year-end average in 2018
YTD Gross volume -16.16%
YTD Transactions -11.96%
There were just 2 New Unit Sales in January – both in Hayden
Local buyers made up 59% of sales in January in Routt county.
There were a total of 89 loans in January with 55% of purchasers closing with financing at the time of sale while 45% closed with cash. There were 50 refinance transactions.
