Most Affordable Cultural Music in Steamboat

Steamboat Springs may be a bit remote, located in Colorado’s NW region just west of the Continental Divide, but cultural opportunities in the quaint mountain town are not void. In fact, Smithsonian.com recently named Steamboat its #4 Best Small Town for its wide offering of music. From the highly acclaimed Strings Music Pavilion, hosting international phenoms and award winning bands, to a variety of music festivals and free concert series, Steamboat provides a great number of quality music concerts per capita.

Friends and Family Series at the Chief Theater

A new music series that I am excited about and is completely affordable is the Friends and Family Series at the Chief Theater. While I love the Strings Music Pavilion, its ticket prices are sometimes cost prohibitive. This new classical music series at the Chief Theater costs only $20 online or $25 at the door for adults and only $5 for students. Affordable, right?

cultural music in Steamboat, Chief Theater, performances, Grammy winners, highly acclaimed musicians,

The series is the brainchild of the highly-respected cellist, author and local favorite, John Sant’Ambrogio, and brings together local classical musicians and some of the most talented international performers in the world.
